I am usually leery about looking for trade services on the internet due to previous bad experiences. But this time, I lucked out... (I did look up reviews on Google and BBB) Could not be more pleased with the emergency service from Precision HVAC Mechanics on this occasion. Our central air-conditioner failed to start after not being used since the end of summer last year. Called the company who sold us and installed the air-conditioner, they declined to come to service the unit. Found Precision HVAC Mechanics on the internet and called. Melanie answered the call. She was very pleasant and friendly but apologized initially because she was not able to schedule a service call for me the same day, but called back after 10 minutes to say a technician became available and would be at our house in 15 minutes! Garfield was the technician who came. He was professional, polite but friendly, and meticulous. He respected my interest in understanding how the a/c system work, and took time to go through and explained his diagnostic process, and how he came to the conclusion that the compressor did not start due to low refrigerant level. He added refrigerant to the system and sure enough, the a/c worked. I understood that my a/c system was 17 years old and asked him about upgrading the system to a heat pump. He answered all my questions professionally without bias or pushing for a sale. Although suffering a few days of early summer heat without a/c was not pleasant, the experience dealing with Melanie and Garfield from Precision HVAC Mechanics to fix the problem was a pleasure. I would most certainly recommend this company for HVAC services to my family and friends. And if I were to upgrade my HVAC system, they will be my first choice.
